Sponsor a Nurse
Program
In a world where community plays a crucial role in shaping and delivering effective healthcare, we are reminded of our shared strengths and vulnerabilities. The WHO estimates that by 2030, the global shortage of nurses will reach 4.5 million—a crisis that will affect us all. India is not immune to this challenge; both urban and rural areas are grappling with a severe shortage of nursing professionals.
To address this urgent need, the Board of Caring Hand for Children (CHC) has launched the Sponsor a Nurse program, dedicated in the memory of Trustee Shashi Bhatter. This initiative aims to empower young women from impoverished rural and tribal areas, providing them with the opportunity to pursue a career in nursing.
The students, primarily young women from families earning only $60-$120 per month, will receive 100% of the funds donated to this program. Every contribution directly impacts the lives of these future healthcare professionals, enabling them to uplift their families and communities while addressing a critical need in our healthcare system.
