Caring Hand Remote Learning Program

In this program, CHC student volunteers will help strengthen the basic knowledge foundation in the English language. The unique aspect of this program is to expose students to American English proficiency as experienced by US-based youth volunteers. CHC student volunteers will guide students in India to improve their English language skills, including reading, comprehension, grammar usage, phonetics, and speaking skills. Ultimately, this program aims to benefit students by enhancing their ability to communicate, read, and write fluently, while also preparing them for future endeavors and potential accolades.

Why is this program important?

English is spoken worldwide and plays a vital role in our daily interactions. Proficiency in English is essential for effective communication with co-workers. Unfortunately, disadvantaged students in India lack the necessary resources to fully grasp the English language

Where is this program located?

Remote Learning is conducted via Google Classroom from the US. Vidya and Child, an Indian organization, supports the education of approximately 1600 underprivileged children across 4 schools in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India.

How is this done?

We leverage an existing curriculum to teach English language skills at Viday and Child. This includes instruction in sentence structure, vocabulary, syntax, and pronunciation, as well as engagement in day-to-day communication.
