Arpana Success Story: A Meritorious Student and a Successful Librarian
Sarita
Namaste! My name is Sarita. Today, I want to share my experience at Arpana Trust. I am very grateful to Arpana for giving me a chance to work as a Librarian. Earlier I was a student and today, I am a proud employee of this organization.
I joined Arpana in Balvatika (Nursery) when I was around 3 years old and studied till class 12. Two of my elder sisters have also completed their education from Arpana Trust. My family had always received lots of help in times of difficulties.
The teachers of Arpana Trust had helped me immensely in my studies; due to their effort I was able to get 90% marks in class 10th CBSE Board examination. After that I took commerce in class 12 and scored 73.6% in Board examination.
Due to financial issues I could not pursue graduation from regular college. With support from Agarwal madam I joined UNNATI and after 70 days training joined Geosansar Advisor Private Ltd. as a customer service executive and worked for a year with them. After that I changed my job and worked in corporate sector for 2 years but I was not satisfied. I felt that I was drifting away from books and I was getting attracted towards the idea of teaching and interacting with the children.
One day I came to meet Agarwal madam and shared my feeling with her. She then told me about a vacancy in Arpana’s Library. I was very happy as I love to read books and it would be a pleasure for me to work in the library but I didn’t have any experience in this field. Our volunteer and library in- charge Mrs. Prem Sarin trained me very well; as a result I am able to look after the library successfully.
I feel very happy to work with Arpana Trust. Along with this job I am also pursuing M.Com. from IGNOU. I want to thank everyone at Arpana from the bottom of my heart for making me self dependent.
