Our Mission

Education is the key to change the world. It improves the quality of life of the individual, society, and the world as a whole. The contribution to educational support for under-privileged children is a gift of a lifetime.

We believe we must help create a universal language of care and empathy that reaches the underprivileged society.

“Our future depends on what we do in the present. If we want a peaceful world we should start educating our children”

– MAHATMA GANDHI

Our Story

Founded in Los Angeles in 2001, Caring Hand for Children has been defined by the simple ideology that education can change one’s path. Thus, we have set our goals to empower underprivileged children in India through the gift of education.

According to a report in September 2016 by the reputed national Indian newspaper ‘Times of India’, there are 84 million children in India who do not attend school, leading to hopelessness and despair. CHC started this journey in 2001, the same year President George Bush signed the legislative bill of “No Child Left Behind”. We started with only 10 children and are presently serving over 4,000 children across 17 projects. Our goal is to educate one million.

Our leadership is continuously working on finding creative ways to fulfill our goals. Over the years we have launched several programs: Our fundraising gala, Our $20 a month Sponsor-A-Child program and Remote Learning in India via Skype.

Despite the years, our journey has just started. We have a long road ahead and look forward to your support to help us continue our mission.
